You MUST Join the BOA as an affilliate member before you can get your conference place. Details HERE!

We are very fortunate to have partnered with the British Orthopaedic Association for this year's conference. Through joining the BOA as an affilliate member (only accessable to ATOCP members at the discounted rate of £70) you get free registration to the conference. We are holding our ATOCP day during the week (this has now been confirmed as Thursday 27th September).

I have finally had confirmation that registration will open in the next fortnight for the conference. You will be given the option of claiming a FREE place if you are a member of the BOA at this stage.

I completed the registration myself yesterday. This requires filling in details, printing off a direct debit form and forwarding it on to the BOA. Where it asks for a statement about why you want to join the BOA a sentance or two about why you want to join is sufficient (eg to further knowledge of MSK / Orthopaedics, networking). Below is a generic PDF letter you can upload as a letter of support for BOA membership. You only qualify for this membership as an ATOCP member.

If you have any questions or difficulties with this please email

To summarise:

1. You can only attend BOA Conference (free) if you are a BOA affilliate member (£70).

2. You need to sign up for the BOA Affilliate membership (from the link below) within the next 2-3 weeks before the registration opens for you to claim your place.

3. You will not be able to attend the ATOCP Conference on Thursday the 27th September if you do not have a BOA ticket.

The exec have been working very hard to pull this together. I hope you agree that £70 to attend a 4 day conference is very good value for money. This is a trial run and I hope to see many of you at the BOA Conference in September!
