The ATOCP have established 2 forms of awards that we will present to nominated ATOCP members each year at conference.

AWARDS 2024:

The ATOCP are proud to present Anthony Gilbert and Stephen Friend the award for Outstanding Contribution to T&O Physiotherapy.  Congratulations to both of your for your hard work and efforts in promoting and developing physio in T&O.

Anthony was the chair of the ATOCP, and supported the coproduction of the ATOCP vision and first strategy. He initialled and developed the links we have with the BOA and supported Rachel in reigniting the ATOCP network. 

Stephen Friend, has worked hard with the Major Trauma network and hosted a fully packed successful 2 days conference in Manchester. He tirelessly works hard to promote the importance of rehabilitation in MT patients and is a strong advocate for the physio profession.  

 

 

 

2022 saw the launch of the ATOCP awards:

Justine Theaker accepting her ATOCP fellowship award

Fellowship award, presented to Dr Justine Theaker. She has been an inspiration to the ATOCP members with her contribution to Major Trauma developing rehabilitation post trauma in the wake of the bombing at the Ariana Grande conference. She has worked hard to achieve her PhD in 2022, after having to delay the process to lead the Nightingale Ward in Manchester through the COVID pandemic. 

 

 

 

 

 

Rachel Martin and Ash Shattock receiving their outstanding contribution awards

Rachel Martin, chair of the South Regional Network, has shown outstanding contribution to the trauma and orthopaedic community and been a pillar to the ATOCP.

Ash Shattock, has been part of the ATOCP for over 20 years and has been an integral part of the committee. She has shown an outstanding contribution to the ATOCP community.
